The Seven Deadly Social Sins
Believe it or not, I'd never heard of Gandhi's seven deadly social sins until today. They are:
- Politics without principle.
- Commerce without morality.
- Science without humanity.
- Knowledge without character.
- Wealth without work.
- Pleasure without conscience.
- Worship without sacrifice.
They are all sins, no doubt, but the two that strike me the most are knowledge (or education) without character and worship without sacrifice.
Lord, help me not to contribute to either by the way I teach or by the way I pray.
